Ashleigh opened originally as a First School in 1972 in an attractive environment on the outskirts of Wymondham.  The school serves a catchment area of private and local authority housing.
The building is a mix of semi-open plan design and more recently self-contained classrooms were added, giving us eight class bases and a nursery unit.  As well as these areas there is a library, a food technology room and several small group-teaching rooms.  The hall is used for assemblies, physical education, music, dance and drama and for dining purposes.  Meals are prepared by Norfolk County Services in the school kitchen.  A menu is available, usually rotating on a three weekly basis.
The school grounds are attractive and very spacious, planted with trees and shrubs.  The PTA substantially refurbished our adventure playground in 1998.  The PTA is very supportive of the school and organises fundraising events throughout the year.

At Ashleigh we aim to provide a quality education in a happy, caring environment where everyone is valued.
Through delivery of the Foundation Stage and National Curriculum, Key Stage 1 children are given the opportunity to reach their potential and develop social skills.
